Following the review of free service of YouMail, I would like to present one more voicemail related services, offered by Ribbit Mobile. The set of the offered features was so attractive, so I have decided to sign for Beta testing. Less than two weeks after signing for the waiting list, I got couple of days ago invitation, and got a chance to test the provided services.

The main reason for me to use Ribbit is ability to get text transcript of my voicemails, delivered at my convenience to my email account. Getting multiple unclear messages from my customers, frequently, I had to listen them multiple times before I could get all the necessary information on the character of the malfunction, system identification, caller identity and contact details. Not any more! Now, all the information instantly arrives, handy prepared in the text format. Definitely, this option is only one of the conveniently offered package, but for me it is the one sufficient to praise the service. Transcripts are accurate and complete, even for the cases, when quality of the call was noticeably low. Misspellings happen only in the last names, and all the Russian voicemails are not transcribed (not that I expected that).

Note that Ribbit offers two levels of voicemail transcriptions. Free accounts come with automated transcriptions. Users with professional accounts - which are free during the beta period - can also choose to have 'business-class' level transcriptions, where a human checks the computer-transcribed text and edits it. Definitely, now, the transcription is highly professional, and if you decide to keep your account free, following the beta period, the feature will be converted to automated, which definitely is less accurate. But we will wait and see.
